Registration

Registration is held in January and early February each year. Registration is now closed. 

 

Queensland Fair Play vouchers
The Wynnum Ladybugs accept fair play vouchers.

 

Sign on day  

A sign on day occurs each year for new members. The date will be updated here next year or follow us on Facebook for notifications. 

Grading is required for all players in teams from under 11 to cadets (15-19 years) ​​

  • Under 12 – Saturday 8 February, 8am-11am

  • Under 11 – Sunday 9 February, 8am-11am

  • Intermediates – Saturday 15 February, 8am-11am

  • Cadets – Saturday 15 February, 4pm-7pm​

Note: Grading will be a closed grading at Wakerley Netball Courts with parents to drop off and pick up only.

Meet and greet 

This is where all the players come together at Wakerley Netball Courts to meet their teammates and confirm the coach, manager, and training days and times. This is compulsory for all players.

7's, 8's, 9's, 10's

Sat 22 Feb 8am - 9.30​

                    Sat 22 Feb 10am - 11.30

Training will commence the week after the meet and greet sessions in the week beginning Monday 24 February.​

Team photos will be held at training over the following evenings – 30 May, 2 June and 6 June

Bugland Day is our end of year Club Presentation held at Elanora Park, Wynnum (tentative date of Sunday 14 September)

Below are the critical dates for Ladybug families. We recommend families actively monitor RNA media channels for updates.​

  • 8 March, 15 March and 22 March – RNA grading rounds (Under 11’s to Cadets only)
    NOTE: teams will only play 2 of these 3 weeks. It will be a round-robin carnival style grading so players will need to be available for the whole day. Dates and times to be advised the week prior

  • 29 March – Round 1 (Under 7’s to Cadets) AND Wynnum (with Blues Union) – RNA club duty day (All parents to volunteer)

  • 5 April to 3 May – NO netball due to school holidays, Anzac Day long weekend and Labour Day long weekend

  • 10 May – Netball resumes - Round 2

  • 21 June – Wynnum – RNA club duty day (All parents to volunteer)

  • 28 June to 13 July – NO netball due to school holidays

  • 19 July – Netball resumes - Round 9

  • 20 July Sunday – RNA Club Carnival (Under 11’s to Cadets)

  • 9 August – Wynnum BBQ Fund Raiser at RNA (All parents to volunteer)

  • 17 August Sunday – RNA Moddies Carnival (Under 7’s to Under 12’s)

  • 30 August – Semi-finals AND Wynnum – RNA club duty day (All parents to volunteer)

  • 6 September – Preliminary finals AND final round and RNA presentation for U7’s to U10’s

  • 13 September – Grand finals & RNA presentation for grand final teams

Evening training is on the hard-courts for all age groups that at Wakerley District Netball Courts, 880 Manly Road, Wakerley.

All Ladybugs games for every level are played at Redlands Association Netball Club, on Saturday, 242/190 Cleveland Redland Bay Road.

Join a Team Today!

We have teams in the following age groups, Under 7, Under 8, Under 9, Under 10, Under 11s, Under 12s, Intermediates and Cadets.
Since 2016 we have grown from 7 teams to 31 teams in 2024.

COMMITTEE

A small committee of dedicated members run and organise all aspects of the club, training, games, volunteering and fundraising. The committee has an open-door policy and invites all members to get involved and stay informed on decisions made in the club. For details on committee meetings please message our club secretary. Please come along and join us, it takes many volunteers to keep the club alive. 

MANAGERS

Each team has a dedicated manager to help run the team. They are responsible for communications between the teams and club and organising volunteers, scorers and half time fruit and snacks.
